10 New PSP Homebrew Noob Q & A 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
** This thread discusses the Content article: 10 New PSP Homebrew Noob Q & A **

· 1.I put an emulator on my PSP it says this
game could not be started

· A1.)The PSP Slim can NOT run applications
without custom Firmware running, so this is the reason for you emus or
applications not running

· 2. Can I downgrade my PSP Slim without
Pandora? I don’t want to brick my shiny new PSP

· A2.)No Pandora is currently the only method
for the PSP Slim to get Custom firmware

· 3. Can I still watch movies and play games on
my PSP once I have CFW?

· A3.)Yes You can, custom firmware only adds
more features as well as retaining all others such as UMD’s listening to music
etc

· 4. What is Pandora battery?

· A4.)Read here
for a full details

· 5. I have the highest firmware, can I still
downgrade?

· A5.)Yes you can still downgrade, Sony is yet
to block Pandora battery working with the Slim

· 6.Where can I get Pandora battery, I hear you
need a homebrew enabled PSP

· A6.)Yes this is just one option, you can also
buy them as well as hard modifying your own PSP Slim battery, hard modding is
not recommend for the average noob

· 7.After I get custom firmware can I run
ISO's?

· A7.)Yes but its down to you as an individual,
if you don’t own the game, do not not download it as far as I’m concerned,
homebrew is free commercial should be paid for

· 8.Can I brick my PSP using Pandora and a magic
memory stick?

· A8.)It’s possible but very unlikely if you
follow the instructions from any good guide

· 9.Can I upgrade my firmware to the latest
Sony firmware once it comes out

· A9.)No you cant, to do so you would have to
revert back to official firmware, then upgrade to the latest official firmware,
we simply wait for a new release which is not very long

· 10.Im Still confused, what now

· A10.)There are many resources for the PSP Slim,
one hour of solid reading will fill the holes in areas were questions may
arise. Read here
more noob answerers

11.Can Pandora Function as a normal batterry

A 11)No, convert it back once every thing is sorted
