Well, as you have discovered, you need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick. For the battery, your only two options are to make one yourself or buy one. Making one involves either owning an older fat/phat PSP or physically modifying a slim battery. The latter involves some soldering ... which can be reversed.Creating the magic memory stick seems far less complicated to me. It just involves getting a smaller stick (512 MB, e.g.) and loading some files onto it. Because I'm a nonfunctional nerd -- a nerd without any skills to do things myself -- I was relegated to buying a pandora battery. I donated my left kidney, 2 pts of blood, Ron Jeremy's greatest hits vols 1, 5 and 6, and a sweaty wad of cash to admin and he's hooking me up. You can go through eBay and other online vendors, but this may not be quick enough for you. Your other option is to check Craig's list. Depending on where you live, there are probably some functional nerds (like admin, ;)) advertising to upgrade your PSP for you. This would be local and probably the quickest.Good luck.

ok, umm im a complete noob to homebrew all together, i got a psp and went online searching for cool stuff to put on it, then i spent about 2 hours researching homebrew, ive been everywhere from "u cant put homebrew on slim" to its just a click away, sooooooooi need sum help plz, (usually im good with this stuff but im in a blur)-ok wat is, CFW-can i get homebrew on my psp slim without bricking it-is it going to cost me anything to get homebrew-wat all do i need to make homebrew-can still watch vids and listen to music after homebrew is installedi really need sum helpthanx

Its unlikely you will brick your Slim, unless you dont follow instructions correctly too.

If you don't know a friend who has a PSP Slim or phat with CFW you will have to either hard mod the Slim battery, or buy a battery tool, hard modding the Slim battery is not recommended.

After CFW is on your PSP your PSP will be far better lets out it that way, this is because there are a lot more enhancements over OFW (official firmware)
