Hello,                                                                                                                                              I Got a PSP Slim silver (Daxter bundle), have had it for a few months, upgrades the firmware a few time (current: 3.90). I have been keeping my eye on Homebrew and custom firmware. But I still have no clue what it all means.   Ive been reading the sh!t out of these forums and still have no clue. All I want to be able to do is play FF7 or any other PS1 games on my PSP, and play all the latest/older UMDs or movies. I guess what Im asking is if I install CFW 3.90 m33-2 will I be able to play UMDs like a normal PSP would? If so, how the h3ll do you do this? Lol Ive been reading and dont really understand any of the guides, one of them said I need to buy a battery tool or something, other say you can load it on the Mem. Stick??? So confused…?             Have:  PSP Slim, Original Battery (Sony PSP battery pack 3.6V 1200mAh), 1 gig Mem. Stick Pro Duo , Sobe Energy Drink (adrenalin Rush) *o yes Im ready*                                                                                                             I came across a “Pandora + Universal Downgrader Easy Installer” in one of the threads and some other threads link to this, but when I unzipped and looked at the txt files I seen this;                                                                                                                                                      The pandoras battery app installed with this programis for A FAT PSP BATTERY ONLY!IT WILL NOT WORK ON A SLIM BATTERY----------------------------------YOU NEED A HOMEBREW ENABLED PSP TO CREATE THE PANDORA BATTERY USING THIS SOFTWARE                                                                                                                                  So I guess this wont work for my PSP Slim?  Can someone PLEASE Help me!? / clear things up.                                                                                                                                                                   Edit: my God this is sloppy

You need a pandora battery this can be brought or made using a psp what already has custom firmware to make the Slim or phat battery pandora, this is what people mean they say a homebrew enabled psp,as official FIRMWARE CAN NOT run the applications required to make the battery Pandora,A pandora battery can also be made using a normal slim battery or even phat, this method is not recommended for a noob, once you have some form of pandora, you download the necessary files, and yes you will still will be able to do everything your PSP can do already and more, such as playing psx games, this is as clear as I can make it

ok i did a little more researching and found a battery tool? Is this somewhat the same as pandoras battery? If so i t seems that it would be e-zer for noobs like me. Just replace the battery, update/downgrade..., power off + switch battery, power on, and im done?

the battery tool is the same thing as pandora pretty much, you would need to download some files to the memory stick also

SWEET! thnx blakey87  i think i will be purchasing this battery tool, so i wont screw up my original battery (knowing my luck) and do it that way... by the way, once i get the tool, i just install the "Pandora___Universal_Downgrader_Easy_Installer" to the memory stick? but i guess then my next question is, how would i upgrade to 3.90 m33-2?    (sorry if im annoying)
