I have a new PSP Slim with Firmware 3.95 installed.
I'm ready to get it enabled for homebrew. From everything that I've read I need the pandora battery and mem. stick.
Is that my first step? Where can I get these?

Is there any versions of the PSP slim that cannot be downgraded?
Is there a chance that I won't be able to use homebrew?

You will always be able t run homebrew but in later versions compatibility with some applications seem to get compromised, im still on 3.80m33 a lot still seem to be on 3.71 m33
