CXMB vs. Flash0 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
I've downloaded several excellent XMB themes lately, and being afraid of messing with Flash0 - I went the CXMB route. Everything is cool & working, but am I missing out on some advantages or better functionality of the Flash0 way of installing? I toggled Flash0 and made a full backup of Flash0 already (probably smart), but still not comfortable messing around in that folder.

Zhason should be able to help you here, more of an expert with the ctf theme

expert? let's put it this way... I'm a noob driven by curiosity anyway
thanks for the compliment blakey!

I brick my psp as often as I changed my shirt (always messing flash0 but no worries because I have backups namely flash0, NAND & ID storage keys) reason why I opted to use cxmb & CTF as you know it's the safest way to use custom theme.

If you want to customize your CTF just like what your doing in flash0 theme then create your own CTF [cxmb full version with the required prx inside support folder] using the flash0 version compatible themes, doing this you have your preferred gameboot, 01-12 bmp background & opening inside the converted CTF of your choice

If your CTF is not working then just disable the plugin then connect to usb then access cxmb folder and simply replace the default ctf written in CONF.txt file

check here regarding backups... http://www.pspslimhomebrew.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=101&func=view&id=5406&catid=9&limit=10&limitstart=20

btw check the Multimedia> Custom Theme section of the forum if you haven't seen it there is a variety of CTF available for download and it's always updated

hope this info help

Thanks for reply, I have the .ctf working with cxmb (enabled in recovery) and I am impressed with all the custom themes coming out. I think I'll steer clear of the Flash0 area for now...still a bit of a noob when it comes to Flash0. I'll check out this site's area for custom themes, thanks for telling me where.
