as you may have seen in the noob forum i asked alot of questions about how to do the custom firmware, i had alot of problems with the second magic memory stick.
Magic Memory Stick 1:
This Memory stick was created using the memory stick duo adapter, and followed the steps on the easy installer but just using the memory stick by plugging the MS pro duo into my computer not connected through a psp, all steps completed succesfully.
Magic Memory Stick 2:
This one was created using the easy installer method by using the psp, all steps completed successfully.
When i put Magic Memory Stick 2 in my psp slim (used 2 instead of one because larger in memory 2GB and followed exact steps on easy installer) and then the tool slim battery when it loaded all it was was a black screen and the power button on light, after trying the steps again i thought i'll try Magic MEmory Stick one and it worked.
So in conclusion;
Step one: run easy installer with MS pro duo pluged into your computer.
Step Two: Insert Magic Memory Stick then the slim tool battery.
Step Three: Turn on the psp slim and wait for the menu to come up and choose to install custom firmware, when finished it will tell you to press X to shut down.
Step Four: Insert the normal psp slim battery into the psp turn it on whilst tapping R, and select install Flash 1.
Step Five: it will reload saying the install data was corrupt or something along them lines and press O, press O.
Step Six: Follow instruction on Start up to finish installation and enjoy.
I Have done this succesfully on Three PSP SLims, using my vista machine, this works for me i would like some more input to see if it works for other Vista Users.
