Caprice32 PSP - Amstrad CPC emulator port **
via qj
PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Akop Karapetyan, better known as uberjack, has released an emulator port called Caprice32. It's an Amstrad CPC
emulator that was created for POSIX (Linux/BSD/UNIX-like OSes) and
Windows. The dev ported version 4.2.0.0 for the PSP for some retro
gaming fun.
Apparently, the dev attempted to port Arnold, another Amstrad CPC emulator but was put off by "its poor performance on the PSP (15 fps)." Uberjack notes:
Caprice32
is a lot faster, though the rendering subsystem used in the current
version is from version 4.1.0, for performance reasons. If/when the
renderer is optimized, the PSP port will be updated to reflect the
change.
Anyway, this initial release for the Caprice32 PSP is
currently missing ZIP file support, though uberjack said that it will
be implemented if people express interest in the said project. Check
out the download below to try it out. Also, go through the readme for
important information like installation and controls.
